With the upgrading of the industrial structure, China is making concerted and dedicated efforts to develop the third industry in the countryside. The cartoon vividly pictures a scene of that: a farmer wearing a sun hat rushes to a road where many other farmers are busy unloading bags products from several trucks. Farmers are working for the third industry in summer- a relatively leisure time for them in a year when growing season past and harvest season doesn't come.
    There are 114 thousand industrial business organizations in China at present. The number of rural families which get benefit from all those organizations around the country in 2004 is 84.54 million compared with 24.93 million in 2000. Each family earns 1,202 yuan more on average. The number of employees work for different industrial and business organizations is 33.332 million in 2004, a 11.6% rise in 2000.
    Three types of those organizations contribute most to farmers: the market leaders, the agencies and the market for specific purpose. And the results of emerging industrial and business organizations are effective and visible. The contribution of the three industry sectors is making China more in line with the general level of developing countries.

    China is one of the world's fastest growing economies, and the GDP of the country is 10.6275 trillion yuan in the first three seasons in 2005 with an increase of 9.4 per cent compared to the same period last year, according to the rough accounting.

In the first three seasons, a farmer earns 2450 yuan on average increasing by 11.5 per cent over the same period last year excepting price factor. The figure is far more than the 1.7 per cent increase in the average disposable income of a citizen living in a city or town. China's industrial companies generated total profits of 5.045 trillion yuan in the first three season of the year which is 16.3 per cent higher over the same period last year. In the first three seasons, the yield of coal experiences an increase of 10.2 per cent over the same period last year, the yield of generated energy rises 13.4 per cent, the yield of steel jumps 25.8 per cent and the output of cars increases by 10.0 per cent.
    These database draws a picture of our country's fast-expanding secondary industries and the quick improvement in farmer's living conditions. This result indicates the high speed of China's growing economy. But the increase stated above, we should notice that  the earning of farmers is still low.
