The visit to the Etiquette Team in Foreign Language Institute

In order to publicize the culture awareness of etiquette(礼仪), improve the polite manners in campus, bring etiquette to people’s notice again, make the spirit of college students better conformed, develop and find outstanding ones and leave the idea of Etiquette impressived in everyone’s mind, our university hold a competition on the culture knowledge of Etiquette。

This time we are lucky to interview the champion team from Foreign Language Institute in this competition ,so let’s share with the gathered material together.

The interviewees are as follows: the leader of the team-----Sun Xiao xin, two teammates-----Zhang Zhe and Hu Zhe heng. Now we call “R” for reporter, and “T” for teammates.

R: First of all, congratulations to your marvelous achievement. I remembered when I was looking at the introduction of your team, the name “VIVO” attracted me, so I wanna know what’s the meaning of it .

T: Oh,it means lively as if music(如音乐般灵动),and it is Italian.

R: How did your team form?

T: We formed it at it happens or by accident. At first,the main staff told me her viewpoint about this activity, and then we discussed with each other for some times, finally we formed it ,which included three girls and the same number of boys. Moreover We know each other very well

R:,So you are familiar with each other, how long have you planned for it?

T: Not very long, we all spend several days no more than a week, because of knowing each other well, so we don’t need extra time to understand each other at the first step,also ,we live near from each other, it is easy for us to get together and practise .

R: Yeah,you are of the same major from the same institute,what events do you prepare for?

T: The competition contains two steps: the elementary one and the finals. At the beginning , there are 15 or 16 teams taking part in it ,the main process are printed on papers, talented performers, and the introduction of team. In the segment of talented performance ,we prepare music play the waltz, some songs and so on. I think the best we do among these is the introduction of our team,we use six different languages to express,and the audiences there are all surprised, and the applauses are by fits and starts (掌声阵阵).

R: Hearing these, the events you planed are more than I could imagine, but I wonder how could you finish them in such limited time?

T: To us, the teamwork is the key, we uesd to practise in our free time,and also, almost all of us have some basic knowledge about dancing ,so we could do it during such a short time.

R: what did you learn from this compitition or what impressed you most?

T: To be frank,during that time,we were all really tired. We trained them time and time again to lead our waltz steps in order. After the moment we defeated our opponents, some of our teammates cried, for our efforts were not in vain. But at the end of the finals,some were going to give up ,due to the forthcoming harder work waiting for us. We must recite the answers that we searched from the Internet, it was not difficult to imagine how we insisted to the end,so there was no doubt that the teamwork was the point.

In this short interview, teammates put their minds back to the process of their preparation without guiders,without experience,without specialized skills,it all depends on their zeal,patience,and belief to continueing,I think from it , what they get is not just the achievement, but also some more beautiful friendship and excitation, just as they said at the beginning, “lively, just as music”
